Las Vegas Capoeira Academy teaches the Afro-Brazilian art of Capoeira through movement, music, culture, and community. Led by Contramestre Viajante, our academy welcomes kids, adults, beginners, families, and students of all experience levels.
Who We Are
More Than a Martial Art
Las Vegas Capoeira Academy is a place to train, move, learn music, build confidence, and connect with a real community. Capoeira blends martial arts, acrobatics, rhythm, dance, language, history, and Brazilian culture into one living art form.
Our students include complete beginners, kids, parents, athletes, performers, and people who simply want a workout that feels different from a normal gym. Classes are welcoming, active, and built around progress — not intimidation.

Lead Instructor
Led by Contramestre Viajante
Contramestre Viajante is the lead instructor of Las Vegas Capoeira Academy. He has trained in Capoeira since 2004 and brings years of experience teaching students of different ages, backgrounds, and skill levels.
His classes focus on clear instruction, discipline, rhythm, movement, and respect for the cultural roots of Capoeira. Students are guided at their own level, whether they are brand new, returning after time away, training as a family, or looking to grow deeper in the art.

Las Vegas Capoeira Academy is part of Grupo Liberdade De Capoeira, a broader Capoeira community with roots in tradition, music, movement, and cultural exchange.
The Las Vegas academy is led day-to-day by Contramestre Viajante. Senior members and leaders within Grupo Liberdade may support the academy through workshops, events, appearances, training direction, curriculum influence, and the continued development of the art.
