What age is the teen program for?+
Teens ages 12–17 train in a dedicated environment that challenges them like adults while keeping the energy and play of Capoeira. Younger teens often start here; mature teens sometimes transition into adult beginner classes.
Do teens train with adults or kids?+
Most teen sessions are their own group. Teens who are ready can also join adult beginner classes — we place each student based on comfort, skill, and the night's schedule.
Is Capoeira good for teens who don't like team sports?+
Yes. Capoeira is individual and social at the same time. You develop your own movement style, play one-on-one in the roda, and belong to a group without sitting on a bench or waiting for the ball.
Will teens learn flips and acrobatics?+
Progressively. Capoeira includes acrobatic movements like au (cartwheel), bananeira (handstand), and roles, taught step-by-step with safe progressions. No prior acrobatic experience is needed.
How do I try a teen class?+
Request class info and we'll set up a trial that fits your teen's age and schedule. There's no long-term commitment to try it out.
