Contramestre Viajante

Contramestre Viajante is the head instructor of Las Vegas Capoeira Academy and has been a driving force in the regional Capoeira community since 2014. He brings a deep passion for Capoeira and extensive experience - both as a student of the art and as a teacher.

His approachable demeanor makes him an excellent guide to aspiring Capoeiristas, whether they are children stepping into their first class or adults returning to movement for the first time in years.

Contramestre Viajante teaches the regular kids, adult, family, and beginner classes at Las Vegas Capoeira Academy — week in, week out, at the Flamingo Road studio. He designs the class experience for every level and helps students of every age and ability thrive.

He also represents Grupo Liberdade De Capoeira in the region, carrying the group's values, ceremony, and lineage into everything that happens at Las Vegas Capoeira Academy.

Contramestre Viajante's approach is built on consistency, rhythm, and community. Every student - no matter their age, background, or fitness level - is treated as a full member of the roda from day one.

He teaches Capoeira as a complete art: movement, music, culture, and self-expression woven into the same practice. Discipline and respect are foundational, but the doorway in is warmth, not intimidation.

Contramestre Viajante embodies the values and spirit of Grupo Liberdade De Capoeira. Under Mestre Cigano's lineage, he brings the group's tradition - its music, its ceremony, and its way of teaching - to Las Vegas.

Las Vegas Capoeira Academy exists as the group's home in Las Vegas.
