Mestre Cigano is not based in Las Vegas — day-to-day classes at Las Vegas Capoeira Academy are led by Contramestre Viajante. Cigano is the lineage that stands behind them.

Mestre Cigano is the Master and Founder of Grupo Liberdade De Capoeira, and a highly respected figure in the international Capoeira community. With more than 30 years of experience, he has devoted his life to the instruction, preservation, and dissemination of Capoeira as a complete Afro-Brazilian art form.

His work spans decades of teaching, mentoring, and building community - carrying the movement, music, and cultural heritage of Capoeira across generations of students and instructors.

As the founder of Grupo Liberdade De Capoeira, Mestre Cigano provides the lineage and guidance behind every academy in the group - including Las Vegas Capoeira Academy. His leadership shapes the group's approach to teaching, ceremony, and student development.

He continues to guide students and instructors globally, holding the standard for how Capoeira is taught, played, and lived inside the group.
